FoodIQ is a read-only web application that provides detailed information about food products using data from OpenFoodFacts. Our mission is to help consumers make healthier and more informed food choices by providing transparent, accessible nutritional information.

Our Data Source

All product information is sourced from OpenFoodFacts, a collaborative, free, and open database of food products from around the world. OpenFoodFacts is maintained by volunteers who contribute product data to create a transparent and accessible food database for everyone.

Respecting Limits

FoodIQ respects OpenFoodFacts API rate limits to ensure fair usage:

• 100 product read queries per minute
• 10 search queries per minute
• 2 facet queries per minute

We implement caching and rate limiting on our end to protect the OpenFoodFacts infrastructure and provide the best possible experience for our users.

Privacy & Transparency

FoodIQ is a read-only application that does not collect personal data or require user accounts. We only access publicly available information from OpenFoodFacts and do not store any user information beyond what is necessary for the application to function.
